- Willem Dafoe is playing Cleric in Justice League. He brings Superman back to life.

- The opening scene of Justice League takes place in a apocalyptic future. Batman doesn't return and Barry and the resistance assume he is dead. The resistance members are Flash, Aquaman, Mera, Black Canary, Cyborg and Wonder Woman. Eventually the resistance get attacked and killed by Darkseid's forces and Barry travels back in time to give Bruce a warning about the future.

- Atlanteans and Amazons hate each other due to a huge war that took place ages ago.

- Barry and Victor went to the same high school.

- Amanda Waller has a small role in Justice League.

- Scott Snyder recently submitted a script for the Man of Steel sequel. The early script has Parasite and General Sam Lane as main antagonist and Manchester Black having a cameo.

-Cyborg's movie is going to be replaced by Titans and will be moved to October, 2020. The Man of Steel sequel is expected to take its release date.

- A Crime Syndicate movie has been discussed which would lead to them being the villains for Justice League 3.

- Warner Bros wants another Batman trilogy with Ben Affleck directing.

- There are no plans to release a Justice League Dark movie anytime soon.

producing the hobbit taught us that even a giant tentpole movie with no script, story or previs can be finished on time if enough money is thrown at it. justice league 1 has been meticulously planned to the point where we've already seen the movie and nothing's even been shot yet. we can get the effects in by june.

We like zach. the bvs project would have killed a lesser filmmaker. terrio was supposed to make sure the story worked (obviously) and affleck is there because we want him to make a batman. chris was supposed to be the "leash" and he failed. we have advisers from comics like johns to help zach but since he did all the legwork to make the dceu himself he gets to run it. suicide squad is proof that he's on the right track as far as running the show. the main issue with justice league 1 is taking this state of the universe we kind of forced him into and turning it into something that will appeal to people without betraying the artifice of it. as i said, people will still probably dislike it because of the decisions we made leading up to it, but by the end of the movie you will have had a fun time (not in an avengers way, by the way- more like how the dark knight was involving and thrilling) and will see the clear direction we are going

our younger filmmakers are really pushing for this. regretfully a lot of good properties are already taken. fox has dragonball and disney are waiting for hayao miyazaki to die so they can snatch up ghibli. they may get "nausicaa" before that which we hear they want to make their lord of the rings

besides pokemon and akira (maybe evangelion, but only if akira doesn't happen), we are trying to aquire legacy projects millenials are familiar with (we've been combing through "toonami" schedules from the early 2000s, things like innoyasha and yoyo hakusho) as well as sniping smaller, newer shows with developing fanbases. trying to get things before they become expensive. we're in talks for "one-punch man" because we like the civilian volunteer hero concept and think it's ripe for the universe treatment.

also, we have a script for "sailor moon" by a rising talent named rebecca sugar. look out for an announcement by the end of the year.

Justice League Plot (Fully written by Terrio):

Batman is trying to assemble the Justice League to protect the Earth from Darkseid, while the government, represented by Amanda Waller and Wade Eiling, is trying to capture them.

Darkseid is a "force of nature", and is impending arrival is described as "apocalyptic" with biblical undertones. He's also being redesigned, though they'll try to keep his classic look in mind.

Superman's rebirth is somehow connected to Darkseid, and includes Darkseid attempting to corrupt him in some sort of astral plane. Lois will be important to this subplot.

Darkseid will have some sort of ability to force the League members to handle their own dark sides and go through psychological trials. It appears to be capacity for good remains a theme of the movie, with the League members all being shown to be dysfunctional, angry people that could have tipped over to the dark side easily if circumstances were a little different.

The focus is on the six mains and Lois. Everyone else is just minor.

-It states that Justice League 2 might not be directed by Snyder if JL receives critical backlash like BVS.

-JL will include Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, J.K. Simmons, Jena Malone, Jeremy Irons, Connie Nielsen, Viola Davis, Diane Lane, Joe Morton and Harry Lennix

-Amber Heard, Alona Tal, Imogen Poots, James Remar, Alfred Molina and Ed Harris are cast as (in the same order) Mera, Black Canary, Iris West, Darryl Frye, Thomas Morrow and General Wade Eiling.

-Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Tessa Thompson are in negotiations to play Sarah Charles.

- Javier Bardem, Jackie Earle Haley, Frances McDormand, Joel Edgerton, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy and Willem Dafoe have also been approached and/or are in discussions for undisclosed roles.

-Aquaman will feature Ocean Master and the Trench. Black Manta will not be in this film, or current isn't in the film.

- The Flash will feature Reverse Flash but has a twist unlike it's TV counter-part.
Shawn Levy (Real Steel) is the front runner to direct Shazam. Will include Black Adam.

- Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Plant of the Apes), Duncan Jones (Moon) and Rian Johnson (Star Wars Ep. 8) have been approached about Green Lantern Corps. No villain has been chosen as of yet. Will include both Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

- Cyborg is on the back burner until JL provides feeback on the public's reception of Cyborg. If it happens, it will have a black director. No villain has been chosen yet.

-Ben Affleck is going to direct the Batman film. He has been writing it and will include Jared Leto as the Joker.
Suicide Squad 2 is going to happen in 2018 or 2019.

-Wonder Woman will include Ares and Circe.
Doomsday will return.

- George Miller is producing JL, but hasn't decided to direct a DC film.

-Dark Universe is currently dead.
Blue and Gold is an infant project, won't come out earlier than 2019.

-3 films have started early development. These films are Deathstroke, Birds of Prey and Legion of Superheroes.

I would argue the JL cartoon has always done a pretty great job of balancing the dark with light heart. The JLoom movie is a pretty good example.

I think the material is easily good enough. Darksied is a great villain and having him as the force that unites them makes sense. But they'll botch it for sure with Synder on the helm.
