It's that time of year again!

However, it's going to be a bit different than the massive pageantry it has been past years where tens if not hundreds of thousands of NFL fans descend on the host city. This year they are going to be doing this all remotely! This will be fun because as history has shown, some teams have difficulties operating fax machines!

Goodell thought he may have a reprieve from getting booed this year, but Bud Light stepped up and set up a fun charity.

As usual, there's shenanigans afoot in the leadup:

Let's take a look at some of the War rooms some GM's have set up (some are probably just a joke :messenger_smiling_with_eyes: )
If anyone has other pictures of their team's war room, just let me know and I'll add them.

49ers:

Giants:

Bengals:

Chiefs:
JM4LcZA.png

Broncos:

Where:
Originally it was supposed to be held in Las Vegas, but all hell broke loose in 2020 so it's all being done remotely

When:
Day 1: April 23 2020 @ 8pm ET//5pm PT
Day 2: April 24 2020 @ 7pm ET/4pm PT
Day 3: April 25 2020 @ 12pm ET/9am PT

How to Watch:
TV: ESPN, NFL Network, ABC
Streaming: ESPN app and NFL app, or there's definitely going to be some twitch streams if you can find them

Draft Order: (Until trades start happening)
1. Cincinnati Bengals

2. Washington Redskins

3. Detroit Lions

4. New York Giants

5. Miami Dolphins

6. Los Angeles Chargers

So there we go! Definitely going to be an interesting one!

What hopes do you have for your team?

How long until a technical glitch happens?

Lot of people want Denver to take Wirfs but there’s no way he falls to 15, so unless Elway plans on trading up it’s not gonna happen. Plus, the Broncos are still anchored to Bolles for one more year at left tackle

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Broncos trade down from 15 to the 20s and pick up an extra 2nd round pick in the process. I think we go WR in the first round to pair opposite budding Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton. With Fant at TE, Sutton on one side, and another young WR on the other, Drew Lock will have plenty of toys

edit

We also need to upgrade inside linebacker, so I see a ILB, preferably any one of the LSU or Clemson guys, in the second round for us. We missed out on Devin Bush and Devin White last year

Yea, there's been a lot of rumors going around about the Broncos trading up to get Jeudy, but honestly who knows? I personally think they should target a tackle in the first round because I think Bolles is hot garbage and even Munchack can't fix him.

Serious question but to people think we will have an NFL season? And if so empty stadium style?
I think there will be an NFL season, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a reduced number of games. As for the stadiums, I think they'll be empty at first , but then they'll start to allow the public in. But even then a lot of stadiums will be sparsely populated as people will be wary of attending.

Maybe they might localise everything into one city? Or a few cities? Have each division pick a city and then all the teams would basically go and play just in that city. I don't know if they will be flying around all over the place, maybe we go back to the olden days where they take the train or bus around.

I think Ezra Cleveland is this year’s Kolton Miller, an athletic o-lineman with a late R1/early R2 grade but gets reached for in the top 12 picks

I’m not confident enough to put money on it, but I got a feeling

ESPN pre-show is now live for anyone interested. Looks like they have live feeds to all the GM offices as well as feeds to a lot of the high draft picks.

Hoping the Raiders take either Lamb or Jeudy at 12. Would hate if Kiper’s last mock of Henderson and Love came true. Could live with Henderson and Ruggs at 19.

I lean toward Lamb as he’s deadly after the catch and Carr excels at shirt and mid range passes so we need a playmaker.

Man this is so surreal. I miss the crowds.
Yea, me too :(

I was really looking forward to seeing the LV strip filled with a sea of NFL fans.

At the same time, I think this is going to be one draft I will remember for a while due to just how unique it is.

Interested in seeing how soon they'll put Burrow into the starting role.

Wait...

Did they set up Goodell with a Kinect?

Probably a Xbox marketing thing.. although it might be a kinect (from years ago marketing) that was setting in an unused corner of his basement, not used until today.

I’d be shocked if he didn’t start game one. They’re in full rebuild mode and he just had probably the best season a college QB has ever had while facing one of the toughest schedules. NOT sure there‘s been a more ready to start game one draft pick since Payton Manning. He’ll have his struggles like Manning did as it’s a big adjustment, but he’ll be better in year two and three for it vs bench a while and thus speed up their rebuild.

Top 3 picks are Buckeyes, it's pretty crazy how we pump out pros left and right.

I'm pretty sure we have the most First round and total nfl draft picks since 2000.

Good point. But with the fact that there's not going to be OTA's or maybe not even a pre-season (or both will be delayed), I could see them starting Dalton at the beginning. I think it would almost be cruel to just throw him in there at the start of the season.

With the players union I think they’ll do a normal lead up to the season for player health (need to be in game shape). Just a delayed start perhaps. But maybe not as OTAs and camps would be in the hottest months when the virus is likely to be at its lowest point before the predicted fall/winter rebound.

Also, I’d think Dalton would force a trade or hold out and thst the Bengals likely want to get rid of his high salary anyway.

So what's the over/under until Tua gets injured again?

I kid, I kid

But am legit concerned about his injury history

The one positive is it’s just been bad luck with a bunch of different contact injuries. It’s more worrisome when it’s repeated noncontact soft tissue injuries to the same muscle (I.e. repeated torn hamstrings) or something like tearing ligaments in the same knee more than once etc.

They just needs to get a good offensive line in front of him and coach him to avoid hits more often than he did in college.

As far as Tua and the injuries, Miami is not a good place to be right now. Good luck with that o-line

You think Joe Burrow is going to be around for 15 years no less on one of the shittiest and cheapest franchises there is. Please put down the crack pipe and make some more reasonable prognostications like you've watched the NFL for more than 10+ years to see how the same shit owners remain the same shit owners.

At best if Joe Burrow is the next Tom Brady, with an infrastructure like the Bengals his peak will be losing in the AFC Championship.

FYI I'm rooting for him I would just never make such lofty predictions based on management/ownership.

Tua's injuries this season could have been avoided. The thing about him is he's a gunslinger and always looking for that extra second to make a play. That was what got him hurt. He held on to the ball too long instead of just throwing it away. It just all depends if he can break that habit. He's deadly accurate with the ball. I'm a Bama fan so I watched him all throughout his career.

Yes! Jags take Henderson so I don’t have to worry about the Raiders taking him instead of one of the top receivers. I lean toward Lamb, would be fine with Jeudy. Both great talents, but like Lamb’s ability to win the 50-50 balls and make people miss after the catch. Suits Carr’s strength in hitting play makers in short to medium range. Ruggs I think is a bit of a reach at 12.

I haven't watched live TV in a while. I'm absolutely amazed at how every second commercial is basically "During these challenging/unprecedented times, please buy our shit."

Huh, I really wonder if Jeudy is going to fall to us (Broncos)

Still wonder if the Broncos will go for a receiver or OL.

I called WR. Thought it would be Lamb, am THRILLED with Jeudy. Wirfs almost fell to us but Buccs swooped him up, great pick for Tampa, outstanding pass blocker.

We got Jeudy to throw out there with Sutton and Fant, Gordon and Lindsay running the ball, Lock slinging it. We got more dangerous today. This is great
