From the Best Motion Picture Drama i've only watched Black Panther and A Star Is Born... and judging by the nominations, the star seems to be on the front run to win it. I liked the movie a lot, but I'm not sure if it's good enough for best picture. As for Black Panther, to me it wasn't even this year's best Marvel movie, so I'm finding it kinda hard not to say this is a politics nomination.

I'm not sure what a run of the mill superhero movie is doing among the best movie nominations... Also, what makes it better than any of the other Marvel movies anyway?

I hope Donald Glover wins something.

Yes I basically have a man crush
Atlanta is an incredible show. Best scene of the entire series is probably this one from season 1 and serves as an excellent example of a generational divide.

Wow, this has to be one of the weakest years in modern history. Several decent popcorn flicks, but it's slim pickings for award worthy films.

Too bad Phantom Thread didn't come out this year, it would be a clean sweep.

Pretty much the whole category looks politically nominated. I have to echo this year being pretty weak. I did a top 50 list last year but I'm having a pretty hard time coming up with just a top 10 this year.

Best motion picture, Drama. Bohemian Rhapsody, easily. Finally watched that movie just last night, best movie I've seen in a long while. I've you haven't gone to go watch that film yet, I strongly recommend.
